This has been an idol in my life. Yes, an idol. The Lord revealed to me that pleasing others or caring about what they think has been an idol in my life. Ephesians 6: 10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places . What do you need Jesus’ peace over in your life today? Right now?
I went for an early morning run this week while it was still dark out to run some stress off… It was 25° F out, and I ran 3.44 miles. It felt good. It was an accomplishment and much needed for my own self-care: mentally, emotionally, physically, & spiritually. As I ran, this song came up on my playlist… & I stopped running to walk… & to sing out loud in worship… To remind myself of its’ truth… & allow its’ truth to wash over me.
