My First Podcast Guest Interview Released!!

Hi friends,

I was a guest on the Unabashed You podcast last month. The episode just released this week, on Tuesday, April 16th, and I encourage you to listen to it wherever you listen to podcasts. The link is below.

We take a deep dive into my story, the why behind this website’s name, and how God knew what He was doing when He called me into evidence based medicine as a Physician Assistant so many years ago… I had no idea that my skills, knowledge, and ability to grow, learn, and adapt would be put to the test in such dire circumstances fighting for the life of the most precious people in my life, fighting for the life of my husband and the lives of 2 of my children with life-threatening diagnoses.

We talk about many other aspects of caregiving, the effect it takes on the caregiver, and ways to approach self-care.

Rechelle, the host of Unabashed You, is insightful, full of empathy and understanding, and also knows how to have fun and bring appropriate lightness to a conversation. She has walked through her own difficult journey and knows how to enter into others’ stories with grace and the ability to see from another’s perspective.

You will be blessed by this conversation friends. make sure to subscribe to Unabashed You’s podcast.

We need more people like Amber Jeann Parker. People who understand the value of seeing those who have not been fully seen. Those who struggle with mental illness, those who have PTSD, those who have experienced the hopelessness in shame and guilt. Amber has become an advocate, a truth teller for the needs of those who have difficulty speaking up for themselves. As the primary caregiver, she understands first-hand what a loved-one goes through and she can help: with tools, with practical advice and with encouragement. Choosing joy in the midst is her specialty for she knows the value of cherishing the sweet moments along with the necessity of self-care. You would be wise to partake in anything she has to offer for it will only benefit the very people who need it most.
