I’ve been reading through the New Testament book of Romans recently. Chapter 4 deals with Abraham’s faith and how his faith was credited to him as righteousness (Rom. 4: 9b). He came long before Jesus came with a new covenant to make a way for sinful man to have eternal life and relationship with God again. Restored relationship. In God’s mighty power we fight!
As a believer in Christ, God has already given me the power to sustain, the power to fight the good fight of faith, to push back in His power the schemes and attacks of the devil in my life. God is at work in me. I must pray and ask Him to continually renew that power and strength within me through the power of the Holy Spirit.
